About Me

Your home is a reflection of you- a compilation of everything you have seen and done.

One of the greatest joys of my work is creating spaces for people to live their lives; A backdrop for all the great moments that make up a life, and at the heart of Emily Tucker Design, that is what we do. We create, and curate spaces for people and families to live in. One of the best parts of this work is getting to know our clients, and partnering with them long-term; whether the project is a second home, a larger space to accommodate a growing family, or updates as tastes change.

I thrive working in a variety of styles and pay attention to the principles of scale, color, and pattern when designing spaces. Our team meets clients where they are in the process and offer a variety of services from ground-up construction, interior decoration, and renovations. We believe the pursuit of a designer is to take the personality of both the client and their home, filter that through our design lens, and ultimately create spaces that are perfectly suited to the people that inhabit them.

Born and raised in California, with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and Planning from the University of Colorado Boulder, I have always been interested in how spaces can define memories, experiences, and emotions. Post-grad, I went back to my native Los Angeles and then to New York City where I learned from and gained a decade of experience under the mentorship of world-class designers Ruthie Summers, Kelly Wearstler, and Steven Gambrel. In 2015 Colorado beckoned, and we settled in Boulder, where I founded Emily Tucker Design.

When not on-site, traveling to scout a new home for a client or working with my team on proposals and logistics, I enjoy spending time with my young family in Boulder and heading to my perfectly rustic and peaceful mountain cabin whenever I can.
